Devon has a compassion and love for our community.

Join Devon as he leads with all residents matter, a caring approach for our youth and seniors. Devon Myrick has 15 years of service within the parks and recreation community in Cobb and Fulton counties. He brings experience from Metro Atlanta Football League, North West Georgia Youth Football League, Step Up To The Plate Baseball, Metro Sports Officials, and Georgia High Schools Sports Association. He has collaboratively worked with Cobb County Parks and Recreation to boost sports participation for youth by volunteering. He believes that his plumbing and building management experience will make him a good steward for The City of Austell Ward 2. He will put a focus on our children and nurturing the elderly.

HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT

Mental Health issues from the environmental stressors in Austell Ward 2 is an issue that needs to be made aware of in Austell. There should be more activities for our youth and seniors to be involved in daily. From mentoring programs for our youth and partnerships with local businesses to attract families. I will demand awareness. Seniors need a person to provide a consistent annual activity to look forward to. I believe in transformation with health and  fitness. I walk each day on Austell’s Silver Comet Trail for my own heart health. I will deliver on a neighborhood walk monthly.

 

DEVON MYRICK WILL SERVE

• Fight to have more youth programs in Austell
• Raise the bar to spend more money in our community
• Pursue quality retail businesses in downtown. In order to provide revenue for Austell.
• Organize senior programs that promote health and wellness

 

WE#MATTER

I believe that it takes a village to build and maintain that village. I believe that Austell Ward 2 has resources and caring people to bridge the gaps. Our neighborhoods are flowing with youth that deserve safe  and organized activities. Our seniors still need to have a laser focus on their health. Collaboratively with other parts of the city government, we can make this vision possible.

VOTING NOVEMBER 7,2023

Voting is November 7, 2023. The City of Austell will hold a General Election on Tuesday November 7, 2023. Advance voting will be available on Monday through Friday  from October 16,  through November 3, 2023  during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Elections and Registration office  is located in the West Park Government Center, 736 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, Ga 30064.
